Furnace Park – development workshop

You are invited to a workshop that will help us to set clear plans for Furnace Park in Shalesmoor.

Furnace Park project is a collaboration between SKINN, occursus & Sheffield University School of Architecture.

The project is to transform a disused council-owned site between Doncaster & Matthew St. behind Shalesmoor Tram Stop into a temporary outdoor creative space to be used by various groups including local residents & businesses, students as part of their study and arts & community organisations. The use of the site has been approved in principle by the Sheffield City Council.

We need your help to determine what kind of activities you would want to happen on site and thus what infrastructure needs to be provided to facilitate those activities. We welcome everyone interested in the project from people who are enthusiastic about the local area, urbanism, architecture & regeneration to local residents & businesses, creative practitioners – people interested in using the site.

The workshop will help us to set a clear vision for the project and we ask you for your creative input.
